Classroom activities play a vital role in a student's life. It offers to teach through various tasks assigned in the classrooms. Every activity aims at providing students with opportunities to deepen their learning. It improves their high-order thinking skills.
Classroom Physical Activity
- Improving their concentration and ability to stay on-task in the classroom.
- Reducing disruptive behaviour, such as fidgeting, in the classroom.
- Improving their motivation and engagement in the learning process.
- Helping to improve their academic performance (higher grades and test scores)
We at ES Lords International School give importance to the holistic development of a child. Every Saturday we conduct a lot of classroom activities and club functions. On 17th Dec we conducted various events for all classes.
Coloring Competition
Colouring helps in self-expression, color recognition, building motor skills, grip/control, coordination, focus, and boundaries. Our ES Lords Tiny tots took part in this activity and expressed their abilities. Children participated with zeal and showed their talent. It helped them explore new ideas, creativity, and a sense of color. The little artists participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm and at the same time took great care to color their masterpieces with their creativity. Pre-School students colored beautifully in an umbrella and exhibited their skills by filling colors in the picture. The fun they had is certainly going to add new innings to their colorful childhood memories.
Fruit Art Gallery by the students
In order to exploit the imagination as well as artistic capability of our upcoming talents of ES Lords, We, Lord’s family, have conducted a vegetable carving competition on 17th Dec 2022. All the participants from grades 3 to 5 have got a magical touch of God which is made to create a world of mystery with vegetables and fruits. There were attractive caricatures made out of fruits and vegetables by our polished Lordians. In the hands of our students, the art of fruit and vegetable carving is elevated to the new realm of edible creations. We are proud to have such talents in our family; they are the feather on our cap.
Math club quiz competitions
National Mathematics Day is celebrated every year on December 22 to mark the birth anniversary of legendary mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan.
To commemorate this special day, the members of the math club organized a Math quiz program for grades 6 to 8 children. After a preliminary round, 16 students were selected for the final round. They were divided into 4 teams namely
- Chera
- Chola
- Pandiya
- Pallava
We had four rounds of quiz program and finally, the Pallava clan won the first prize.
